On typical controllers (e.g. the PS3 Dualshock), we need to access the analog sticks, the d-pad and the XO/ buttons with our thumbs, while also using the index and middle fingers for L1,R1,L2,R2. This leads to slightly titled hand position.

It's funny you mention the size of the grip being too small. Just yesterday, another gentleman's review was about how 'big and wide' it is... I suppose we've offered a middle-ground in between :)
